ERASMUS + KA171-HED FUND IS AWARDED TO CUCI TO PROMOTE ACADEMIC MOBILITY WITH AFRICAN UNIVERSITIES

The Centre for International University Cooperation (CUCI) of the University of Parma has won the Erasmus + KA 171 Fund to support the exchanges of teachers and students with universities in Rwanda, Senegal and Niger. The project unfolds through strategic themes for sustainable development, linking energy poverty, food production, environmental protection and gender inequalities. "As complex and multidimensional as it is, this relationship is one of the organizing principles of the project," explains Professor Nadia Monacelli, director of CUCI. |

This project contributes to the further development of already established relationships with universities in the partner countries. The incoming teaching staff, which includes 21 positions, will be involved in three-week laboratory training courses and summer schools. In the meantime, incoming students, which includes 19 places, will be involved in internship activities lasting 3-4 months, which will be considered in the final thesis work. Gender balance will be respected in the selection of beneficiaries. Extreme priority will be given to the most economically disadvantaged students and teaching staff in the selected countries. The project involves different subject areas, from professional and academic development to knowledge transfer, quality enhancement and updating of pedagogical methods. |
