A Success in International Cooperation with a Focus on Social Psychology and Technological Innovation

Parma, May 8, 2025 – Professor Nadia Monacelli, Director of the University Centre for International Cooperation (CUCI), has recently completed a 21-day mission under the Erasmus Plus KA171 programme, which significantly strengthened cooperation between the University of Parma (UNIPR) and the Abdou Moumouni University of Niamey.
During her stay, Professor Monacelli delivered a 20-hour teaching module in Social Psychology, aimed at third-year students in the Bachelor's degree programme in Psychology.
She also supervised the thesis work of three PhD candidates in the same field, thereby contributing to the consolidation of academic cooperation.

A particularly important moment of the mission was the meeting with the Rector of Abdou Moumouni University, Professor Barage Moussa, who expressed great enthusiasm for both the implementation of the joint Master's programme Santé mentale et Soutien Psychosocial en contextes Humanitaires organized with Mamadel Bassirou I.Y. Diallo, Director of the Department of Psychology,  and the innovative photovoltaic project.
The latter, coordinated by Professor Alessio Bosio in collaboration with Professors Daouda Abdourahimoun (responsible for the photovoltaic project) and Noma Taibi Soumaila (physicist), includes training activities, research, and the establishment of a startup aimed at producing photovoltaic solutions. The Rector showed strong interest and support for this initiative, which represents a significant step towards technological innovation and sustainability in the region.
